2D LEVEL DESIGN

I design 2D levels by creating patterns classified by difficulty and then drawing the level in a plan where I create and organize situations.

EXAMPLE

I made this 2D level design during a one-month exercise consisting in creating a level of 12 situations for an existing 2D platformer game (I chose Super Meat Boy).

I designed 5 types of patterns with 5 levels of difficulty. I then drew a level in Illustrator, creating game situations using only the designed patterns, and respecting an imposed difficulty and rhythm curve. I finally wrote a document explaining my intentions and the identity of the level.
